How to choose the right therapist?
Finding the right therapist is essential for effective and meaningful therapy. Here are some key factors to consider when choosing a therapist who aligns with your needs:
Identify Your Needs – Consider what you want to work on, such as anxiety, trauma, relationships, or life transitions. Look for a therapist with experience in those areas.
Therapeutic Approach – Therapists use different approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or mindfulness-based techniques. Researching these methods can help you determine which might work best for you.
Credentials and Experience – Ensure the therapist is licensed and has relevant experience working with individuals who share similar concerns.
Cultural Competence – If aspects of your identity (such as race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation) are important to your therapy experience, finding a therapist who respects and understands these aspects can be beneficial.
Trust Your Gut – After an initial session, reflect on how you feel. If you don’t feel comfortable, it’s okay to explore other therapists until you find the right fit.
Choosing the right therapist takes time, but finding someone who aligns with your needs and values can make all the difference in your mental health journey.
What to expect after contacting us?
After contacting us please allow 48 hours for a response to follow up. You can expect a free, brief phone consultation to get a sense of your counseling needs, provide further information about our practice, and answer any of your general questions. Not all counseling practices choose to complete this process. We have chosen to invest this time in hopes to serve all potential clients well.
What to expect from Intake appointment?
The intake is a continuation of our initial phone consult. The intake serves several purposes. First, it is an opportunity for you to share your lived experiences and challenges in life. Next, it is an opportunity for your therapist to provide and gather information to ethically meet your goals for therapy. This includes discussing confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, fees, our service agreement, and safety. Lastly, it is an opportunity for both the client and therapist to determine therapeutic fit after a face-to-face experience. Though we may not cover every detail of the issue(s) presented in the first session, you should have a basic comprehension of the potential counseling experience with your therapist.
This session is typically longer than a regular therapy service which gives your therapist a clear understanding of your experience, needs, and goals in order to provide tailored and customized services for you.
How long are appointments?
Our sessions will be 50 minutes long with the exception of the intake. You are more than welcome to request additional time if it is available.
Do you take Insurance
Inner Circle does not currently participate as a provider with insurance plans and is a fee-for-service, or private pay, practice. This means clients pay the full fee for services at the time the services are provided with a credit card. We want to focus on client care and avoid cookie cutter processes that intrude on client confidentiality. We have carefully and thoughtfully explored the advantages of offering fee-for-service counseling.
In the future there are plans to accept select insurance providers.
Fees
Range from $100-$150 per clock hour
Intake session is $200
We understand that every ones economic status is different and because we know that your mental health is important we offer a sliding scale. This flexible pricing model adjusts session fees based on an individual’s financial situation, ensuring that therapy remains affordable. Fees are determined based on factors such as income, household size, and financial hardship. The goal is to reduce financial barriers so that all clients, regardless of economic status, can receive the support they need. Clients interested in sliding scale options may discuss their eligibility confidentially to determine a fair and manageable rate.
